I wanted to do a
sea-monster that delivered something other than a plesiosaur or the old
legendary sea serpents. Playing with scale is a reliable way of
delivering something that is both familiar yet fresh, so taking elements
from frogs, turtles and Siamese fighting fish and then scaling them up
